Although there were several attacks throughout the race, none of them succeeded. When cyclists entered Tartu city and had 25 km to go, race got interesting. On the uphill of Lossi Street, the Polish Skalniak-Sójka attacked, followed by Estonian Elisabeth Ebras. Ebras suddenly had a technical problem with the bike and she was unable to go with Polish rider.

Skalniak-Sójka got away with a big gap between her and the peloton and she managed to take the victory with a time of 2 hours and 41,49 minutes.

The peloton reached to the finish line over a minute later and Kristel Sandra Soonik managed to take the second place with a strong group finish. Polish Karolina Karasiewicz finished third.

“Team did a very good job and we managed to get away with a smaller group in Tartu city laps. I just had to wait for the finish and do my best,” Soonik explained. She added that since she is a pure sprinter, the end of the race was very suitable for her.

The best young rider was Elisabeth Ebras, who finished in 23rd place.

The day continues with the last stage of the Tour of Estonia: Tartu GP (164.8 km).

The 41st Tartu Rattaralli will take place on Sunday, where more than 2,000 enthusiasts will ride with professional cyclists. There are 128, 60 and 27 km distances to choose from.
